This early 17th century roof has a long history of repairs. We will try to figure out which parts of the structure are original and which parts have been modified or added later. We will consider the structural reasons for the damage, and evaluate the usefulness of the repairs. (This site may be replaced by the roof of the former pilgrimage church at Tuntenhausen, dating to almost exactly the same time and exhibiting an equally confusing history of repairs. The church at Tuntenhausen is currently being repaired, so accessibility will determine which object we will actually visit).
